You shouldn't have any problem shooting shorts in your barrel. However, you should clean the chamber very well before going back to Long Rifles, just like the .38 Spl to .357 Mag situation.

I have a Bullberry 14 in 22lr match and have run 22 lr 22 shorts and CB caps through it-- no problem-- it still shoots better than I ever will! only time you should find a problem is trying to run 22 shorts through your semiautomatic -- not enough power to cycle...

Of course- this is not a problem with a TC.
