CLEANING AND LUBRICATION

CLEANING: Remove the grip and barrel from the action. Tape over both sides of the small pin below the hammer pin so it doesnt fall out. Put on safety glasses, hold the action upside down, and spray CrudCutter, brake cleaner, or any other spray degreaser into the action and into the safety channel just in front of the hammer. Let it drip on newspaper and repeat until it runs clean. If you have a blued action, be sure to use rust proofing stuff on the inside, since you have just removed all rust preventing lubricant along with the crud. I would suggest a rust proofing that isnt sticky and wont attract dirt and powder residue. Your rust proofing doesnt have to lubricate - T/C recommends using only graphite for lubrication. BE SURE TO LUBRICATE with graphite.

LUBRICATION: T/C recommends using no lubricants other than graphite - use it sparingly. Cock the hammer and pay particular attention to getting graphite into the safety block channel. Work the action, trigger and hammer several times to spread the graphite around, then dump any excess out on newspaper.
